Heated mirrors automatically on when starting

I've noticed that when I start the truck (hybrid) the heated mirror button is illuminated. I shut off the mirror...everything is fine. I shut the truck off. Next time I start the truck the mirror button is illuminated again. I'm guessing it may just be a software issue? It hasn't been cold enough or misty enough to see if the mirror heaters are on, but I assume they are.

Anyone else seen this?

~ 40-50 degrees.
It's a Lariat Lux 360...I suppose it's just showing how smart it is.

The general consensus dating back to 2012-era Focus forums was that it was a "feature", perhaps to increase electrical load to help the engine warm up. It's normal, and yeah, sounds like it's cold enough that it would trigger.

My Lariat does the same thing, kinda annoying.

I have a Lariat Lux how do you know they are on? I have not seen a button for them. I know they are prob right in front of me.

My Lariat does the same when temps are in the 40s. Doesnt bother me as it helps with anti-fogging.
