Hardwire Radar Detector???

I have a Uniden R7 ive had wire tapped in my other vehicles havent had time to do it on the maverick. just wondering if anyone has hardwired a radar detector if so where you got your power source? Thank you in advance.

Many use an add-a-fuse tap to the fuse panel under the glove box. When I wire mine, I’m going to remove the black cover above the mirror and look for a keyed 12v source there. Good luck

The Owner's Manual provides under glove box fuse box slots available for use, same for under hood fuse box. Select one that fits the amperage requirement and you should be all set. Ford kind of anticipated this is what I figured after reviewing all the power options via fuse box.
