Had Something Weird Happen Today

I was coming back to my truck after getting a couple of items from a store. Clicked on the unlock switch and grabbed the door handle and it was still locked, clicked the unlock button again, again nothing, got into the truck and and it did a countdown before the alarm started, put my key into the switch and turned the truck on and the alarm stopped. After that it seemed to work fine. I just bought the truck a couple of weeks ago, so I would not think the battery in the fob would be dying yet, anyone else have this happen? It is a hybrid XLT.

Had a somewhat similar experience yesterday. While carrying items in both hands, attempted to unlock a rear door with the fob without success. Didn’t hear the locks activate and the door was locked. Put a package down and ensured the correct button was pressed, but the door was still locked. Tried the lock button, heard the locks activate and then hit the unlock button with success. 1st and only time this has occurred.

It does that if it thinks it was a forced entry or if you open the door with the mechanical key.

It happens. No biggie.

I got locked out at the gym last week. Fob didn't work, and I couldn't get the key to turn in the lock! Alarm went off, but was able to use the fob to deactivate. My husband came with the extra key, and that worked. Tried my key again, and it worked. It's weird, alright!

My maverick hybrid does all kinds of weird one time stuff and some more than one time intermittent stuff. You’d think it was built or maybe designed in Austin TX! Keeping it weird in NM . I love my truck but I’m accustomed to the reliability of Toyota or Honda. Come on Ford you can do better!!!

I just had this exact thing Happen. Got home, went inside for maybe an hour. Went back and the key fob won't unlock, or lock the truck.
I used the physical key and then the dash had a count down timer to start before alarm sounds...
I started it, and then turned off immediately. I then hit lock, and unlock from fob and both worked?
I did a short trip and the lock worked when I got back no issues.
