Clayed and applied ceramic to my truck today. Man what a difference. Ceramic is so easy to apply. I Used R-1 The clods are the reflection from my hood.

Gorgeous man - can't wait to do the whole shebang (decon, wash, clay, ceramic) on mine. If/when it gets here. Really sharp color too.

Nice! I'm still trying to figure all this out. My plan was to wash, apply iron remover, clay bar, then sealant. Then I was going to spray wax it each wash after before applying sealant again in about 6 months. Now I am hearing lots of good things about the ceramic sprays.

So many things to consider...

Looks really great. I wasn't going to bother with ceramic but these posts are convincing me.

Looks great! I am a detailing dork with my vehicles. After some debate on colors we arrived at the alto blue....have an order in. I'm glad I chose that color.

It is many colors in one, depending on lighting. You will love it.

Looks good. I thought the clay was used to restore a faded finish. Never heard of using it on new paint.

Claying is not like a "cleaner" wax. With clay, you mist the surface with a mild lubricant (often a spray cleaner) and gently rub the soft clay over the paint surface. The contaminants on the paint are gently sheared off into the clay, which you then fold over to trap the contaminants and continue with clean clay. Do this in SHADE, not in the sun! When you gently run your hand over the painted surface, the difference between a clayed surface and un-clayed surface is astounding. I've used Griots Garage products for years and have been very satisfied -- and they have good directions and how-to videos on their website.

Looks great! I did a wash, turtle wax seal n shine, turtle wax Ice spray wax, and treated the plastics and rubber with a trim sealer. Should be good for a few months or more, with regular washing.

Love the shine, but still leaning to some PPF for the front of the hood fenders, bumper and perhaps wheel trim area. Time will tell as it will probably 6 months before mine arrives.

Could change my mind and does look great!
