I paid for that option!
Not as much as some have mentioned in dealer markups though, ouch!

Longest 7 days of my life! Bought it from an out of state dealer who drove it up to me.

Really had no choice, my Subaru Crosstrek hybrid POS cvt tranny was going south and Subaru simply washed their hands of the problem not even wanting to admit that that tranny was flawed. Oh well, got 138,000 miles out of it before it started to puke. Got a stupid large amount of money for it. Used cars are still WAY overpriced.

So, my choice was to buy an overpriced used car, wait for 9 months or more for a Maverick that may, or may not ever get built since supply chains aren’t getting any better, or, pay a few thousand more than MSRP and get my truck now.

For me it was a no brainer.

BTW, if you are waiting for your hybrid Mav, it‘s worth it.
Great vehicle, much better than I even dreamed it might be.

Congrats, you gotta do what’s best for you. I hope the used car prices will stay up another month or two, my order should be ready by then 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻. What color did you get?

Beautiful truck and you made a wise decision even though there was an ADM. I know someone will respond and say they would NEVER pay a dime over MSRP. That is why they do NOT have a Maverick and you have a beautiful truck. Look at it this way. You will save enough in fuel over the next couple of years to cover that ADM and you are so much better off having a new Maverick. Congratulations and enjoy your Maverick.
