If you plug in your phone it will find the app and it works . There’s no Sirius XM button in the truck but you can do it that way .

I detest Sirius XM. Had it in my 2012 Focus and all they did was harass me when I let the subscription run out. I only listened to a few channels and then rarely so I decided to let it run out ...why pay for something I didn't use? But then I would get calls from someone at Sirius always with an Indian accent too like they can't hire someone in the US to take phone calls. Sometimes I couldn't barley understand what they were saying. I got pissed. I told them that just because the car came with the Sirius, didn't mean that I was obligated to subscribe to it. Wasn't just me that had problems apparently, Sirius had harassment suits against them I heard some years ago. So glad my current Ford doesn't have Sirius.

Yea if weren’t for free trial I would not pay 11 bucks a month for it . It’s not bad since I mostly listen few stations but I wouldn’t subscribe to it though

Had the 3 month trial in my Miata and then let it expire. You are correct that they employ high pressure tactics to get you to renew. After several calls and emails from them telling me it's time to "renew" then ignoring them, I figured out something. They're A LOT like the cable companies in markets that have competition. You wait THEM out. First offer was like (not totally sure) around $21 per month. Then came $17 a month offers. Eventually there was a $6.99 a month offer. This month, a $4.99 per month offer plus a free Echo Dot. (which I don't need) I took them up on their final offer. In the end it was a substantial savings-and given that the Miata was in the garage for the winter, I missed nothing !!!!

Yep. Never pay the bill they send it. Let it run out and they will call with a discounted price. Wasn't that I couldn't afford it, I just rarely ever used it so why pay for something I didn't use?

I went through a similar situation with the service on my 2016 Sonata Hybrid. I took advantage of the trial, made them offer a great deal a couple of times. But when I finally decided that the service wasn't anything we really took advantage of, I called to cancel for good.
It took a while to work through all of the options that the account retention customer service agent had in her flow chart. In the end, I had severed my connection with SiriusXM. But the next day, I got a notification from my credit card company of a change I didn't recognize. I went right to my account where I found, not only the $200 charge, but 2 more pending charges I didn't recognize. Apparently the agent decided that she was going to get her lost retention bonus out of me one way or another. Of course, my credit card company fixed the problem, got my money back and issued a new card. Pain in the butt but a good lesson in closely monitoring all of your financial accounts.
But there was more. I'm fairly confident that this same SiriusXM agent made sure that my email was made public because I began to receive spam to my account, something that had never happened before that. Needless to say, I ignored the the free 3 month subscription when I traded up to a 2020 Sonata Hybrid two years ago.
