The stock Hankooks on my 4 ton Transit(not Connect) went about 60k+. Not a glamorous tire brand, but perfectly fine.

These are one of the few energy focused tires I have seen for the Maverick. They are on my short list to be my OEM tire replacement when that time comes around. Hopefully that will be quite a while however.

Thanks for review - was headed for Michelin Defenders this coming week but your Hankook's sounds like a better choice due to less tire weight.

How's the sound compared to stock Continentals? I figure the difference isn't much

Recommendations for the AWD HYBRID with good mpg on and off road?
When you find something, let me know because I want them too. And to be an investor in the company.

Jokes aside, you can get good fuel economy or good off road traction. All-terrains of any variety will be heavier and have more rolling resistance than a highway tire.

It depends on what you're willing to compromise on more. If you want better fuel economy, a very mild all terrain such as the Nitto Nomad Grappler, Cooper Road+Trail, or Falken AT Trail might be a better option.

If you want better off road capability, a standard all-terrain like the Toyo AT3, BFG KO3, or Falken AT4W would be more suitable.

Just replaced my factory Pirelli Scorpians at 46000 on my 2022 Maverick Lariat FX4 with 4K. They weren’t the best tires especially in heavy rain, a bit scary at Highway speeds. Just installed Falken Wildtrack A/Ts. I was a bit worried about mileage and sound, surprisingly neither is a problem. They are quiet and I haven’t noticed mileage changes. Looking forward to some rain and snow.

I found some good, possibly great tires for my hybrid. Quiet. And REALLY HIGH MPG.

Low Price. Long Tread life. Great wet performance. Good all season performance. What else do you need?

I've only had them 500 miles but they exceeded expectations and MPG is a little better than what came from the factory.

Hankook Kinergy ST $144.99
8/32" 24 lbs. 70,000 mile warranty

Hankook Kinergy PT $174.99
11/32" 26 lbs. 90,000 mile warranty

Both come to 0.2 cents per mile.
(5 miles per penny)

So for me; I went with the lighter tire for maximum MPG and was not disappointed when the new tires made my carefully computed MPG go up.

Update after ~1000 miles:

I have a long hill (10+ miles) I traverse every day. I benchmark my fuel use on that hill all the time.

Old (stock) tires nearing end of useful life net 55 to 58 MPG on the downhill side.

New Hankooks give me 59 to 61 MPG.

I MAY have 2-3 psi more in the new tires too. But they are for sure not worse than the old ones!

Old: tanks about 45 MPG
New: tanks about 46.5 MPG
You gave good advice on the Hankook but found a good price on Michelin Defenders. After 3 weeks and a couple hundred miles I checked my MILEAGE on the Michelin's and did lose about 2 miles per gallon in fuel efficiency. Went from 43.7 mpg to 41.4 mpg. The taller tread is most likely the case. No complaints and anticipated the loss. But the Michelin tire contribution to steering is significantly better.
