I placed my order many months ago for my Area 51 Hybrid. Words cannot express how excited I was. However, my thirst F-150 which I was driving 2 and a half hours a day just for my commute (not considering all my other driving) was costing me an arm and a leg. I needed something more fuel efficient, and left "truck duties" to our 04 Ford Ranger, now primarily driven by my wife.
Our Ranger is starting to.... show it's age. A few days ago, she developed a nasty leak that's going to cost us quite a bit, a problem on top of other recent problems and due to this my wife expressed interest in my Honda Insight. So if Ford would ever decide to get off it's ass and make more trucks, when it comes in, I'm back in action for my Mav! Until then, I'll be driving the Honda and enjoying my 65+ mpg.
But yeah, back on the forum. If there's been any major updates to orders, please let me know. Haven't gotten anything from Ford other than the standard "we're so sorry" emails. Just glad I kept my pre-order, that was definitely smart...
