Jan's 2022 Mav XL (+ CoPilot) has around ~12K miles.
Everything's been great. Bulk of recent travel has been trips from SJ->Fresno
to visit disabled daughter. Great mileage, comfortable. Everything fine.

The under-engine pan recall was performed, oil changed , etc. Seat aribag
fix pending.

Jan returned home this wknd, and yesterday when she went out on errands
the Ford app on my phone went nuts with alerts...
  • "Service Steering"
  • "Hill Start Assist Warning" (twice)
  • "Pre-Collision Assist Not Available"
This prob happened 5 min max away from home, and the power steering
wasn't working (or working well). She called me and I of course already
knew.

She was able to stumble the car to the local Ford dealer 1.5 mi away. They
supposedly identified a module failure but I don't have the details.
Supposedly Mav ready by Monday and they might even be able to perform
the seat airbag recall. [This was not the purchase dealer, who's 20 mi away.]

Me thinking - with all the inventory issues - this quick fix may be a module
in common with other Ford hybrids (Escape?) ??

Update:
1. Neighborhoodl dealer fixed it day after TurkeyDay with a software update.
No HW unit replaced.

2. Airbag recall: ordered, parts inbound, should be fixed later this week (supposedly).

GF is very happy.
