Gauge cluster swap?

Hi guys,

I just took delivery of my 23 maverick XLT and it has the basic cluster. I was wondering if I can get my hands on the cluster with the 7 inch screen is it plug and play other than reprogramming the miles or something like that? how easy is it to do the swap, I saw the guy who swapped in the all digital cluster from I think and escape or something like that. I don’t know if he got it fully working. Thanks for any feedback I’m really interested to see if it’s easy to swap the cluster to get the one with the 7 inch screen at least .

It's a total of ~2 bolts and about 10 minutes of your time to swap. It is as simple as backing up your current AsBuilt and overwriting the new one.

Full digital is working, minus a single DTC that affects nothing. I've got about 7k miles on mine so far and not a single hiccup.

It's a total of ~2 bolts and about 10 minutes of your time to swap. It is as simple as backing up your current AsBuilt and overwriting the new one.

Full digital is working, minus a single DTC that affects nothing. I've got about 7k miles on mine so far and not a single hiccup.
AsBuilt? I’m assuming it’s a ForScan thing. If I go to the digital cluster route, is there a lot of Hard ache getting it working?

Yes, it is a ForScan thing and no, it's a very simple change. Hardest part will probably be finding a good deal on the digital dash.

I think your best bet is to use the thread on it, people show models they got.

I got my first one from another forum member and the second one (for another car) from ebay

I assume taking a picture and entering the numbers will accomplish the same thing? If not, I will do the save file/load file method. :)

What are you people talking about? I must be in the wrong room. I went to the Ford Garage about the Cluster Recall. My Guy said they need the vehicle to "freeze the Miles" then order the new cluster from Ford with those miles on it. It will be in there for 7-10 days. What?? I just got the extended warranty from Granger last week, GREAT DEAL, but did not add rental cars. Are we talking the same?
