Maybe this has been answered. If it has sorry.

I know that the "full size spare" is not a true full size spare, but is it possible to mount a full size tire on the rim? I have 225/65 r 17 tires. Could I buy a cheap 225/65 tire and mount it on the spare rim as a "just in Case"?

I am looking on mounting the tire to the rim that is already there if possible.

For sure the ideal situation is to have the same tire, if you stick around town mostly its not a big deal but next weekend Im going on a trip where ill be almost 3 hours into the bush. Can’t imagine pulling an ATV and a fully loaded truck on a donut 🍩
