Agreed. Saw this on Etys on the weekend and that was my first thought. I have been pondering ways to add a signal to my side mirrors, then saw this. I don't like the look of this product, but the concept is interesting. It's really too bad we cannot get the side mirror signals like the south American Mavericks do.

I agree. While I get the price point restrictions on the Maverick, I'd pop for an side mirror turn signal upgrade or even a 3rd party modification/accessory.

OH! I like this! Great idea. What made you change your mind to not wire it to the turn signal? Please do a little research on your Amazon orders to see if that is where you ordered it. I'm thinking eBay may have the same type of purchase search. Much appreciated if you can. I've seen the side markers/turn signals on Lincolns that are inbedded in the quarter panels and I like the look and safety feature. No doubts about where the vehicle is headed when they flash.

I contacted the Etsy seller and he is testing both a clear frosted and smoked plastic 3D printed version. If they work, they should be posted later this month.

So, I went ahead and ordered a pair of these. I'm planning on putting lights behind them and wiring up to the turn signals. Need to find an LED light that has the wires exiting from the rear rather than the side as mentioned here in a post. Although, those will work I think because these covers would hide the hole needed to run the wires over to the turn signals. Sheesh, not sure why I embark on these random projects. "All your fault, MTC!!"

I think it's a nice look and very cool idea (would be awesome to have it "both" illuminated as a side marker light, as well as have it "flash" with the turn signals). It gives that defined space more of a reason for existing (rather than a fake vent). I'm not opposed to the yellow lens, but the smoked lens (with an amber bulb behind) might be the best of all...

If someone figures out how to tap into the the turn signal wiring, please let us know!
