I have a 2023 Ford Maverick now has 30,000 miles but noticed a vibration and howl 07/24/24 with 23203, Freeport Ford tech stated he couldn't hear or feel issue. Returned to Freeport Ford on 01/30/25 for the same above issue but more severe, shaking while under load (accelerating) tech at this time stated my front tires had to be replaced 4/32 tread, (already) and put the rears 9/32 tread on the front, this did not solve the issue, so i left there and ordered 2 new tires, they arrived on 02/03/25 and had appointment for today 02/04/25 to install, was called that truck was done, picked up truck, still there same shaking and vibrating while accelerating, was they o told they

I agree with Mr pibb that it's probably the cv axles. I'm not an expert by any means but just by perusing the forums the symptoms, the mileage the way you describe everything seems to fit a lot of vehicles that ended up having the axle issue. My only question is why did the front tires only have 4/32 and the rear 9/32. Wouldn't they wear evenly if rotated regularly?

That's what I thought, my Chevrolet tech friend who looked at the truck also said tire tread excessive wear due to the Violent shaking in the front end

Ok. Just seemed strange but I'm not even remotely close to knowing much about vehicles. I did see your other thread just now that said you are getting new axles so that's good.

This happened to me. It was the axles. New ones installed, and the problem went away…

Scroll to the bottom of this thread or do a simple thread title search and you will see it's a very very common issue.
The CV half shafts that have failed so frequently have been redesigned. You replacements should not have the same problem.

cv axles make sure they put new 2025 redesigned axles on your car . Mine were replaced at 15k and they are bad again at 30 k. Dealers are completely incompetent. Call the service manager

Fyi. My continental tires never made it past 30 k. I’m sure that death wobble does a number on tires as well as other drivetrain components . I do love this truck. It gets 40 miles to a gallon, but Ford sucks. This should’ve been addressed years ago.

Hi,
I have a similar issue, only vibrates in certain transmission modes. Does not vibrate in trailer or sports mode, other users have reported the same thing. Problem goes away when you let up on the gas. Transmission problem?

Dave
Dave, it's your front CV axles that are the problem
