All these delays must be a boon for Maverick forums. Endless thread potentials. Had I got my Mav soon after I ordered I likely would have moved on unless there was an issue. As it is, I am perpetually tied to reading about the Mav and living the new truck dream through forums

That being said has the addition of the top-down 360 camera in 2023 been indicated. Really like these.

Haven’t heard any news and probably won’t until right before order banks open around 8/16.

That is one thing I wish my wife 2020 Camry had. Unfortunately, have to have the top of the line model to get it. My wife could really could use that being 4'8" she has trouble in parking lots seeing parking lines and parking in them. Might have helped her not hit the pole at work that she was very much aware of and had so much room to avoid it. At least it has back up camera and blind spot/ rear cross traffic. That is very helpful for her.

360 is great if you’re backing out of real tight areas. Dealer says it will be an option in 2023 but he could be talking out his azz because he’s prepping me for news that I ain’t getting a 2022

Maverick is built to a price. 360 cameras are wonderful on luxury vehicles, but I tried one out on a cheap Nissan and it was pretty "meh". As such, if they offered a really cheap implementation, it may not be worthwhile, especially if you have to get a Lariat Luxury Package to add it for example, since even now that's the only way to get even a Sync 3 headunit.

I'll probably transfer over my Garmin DriveSmart 65 that has a beautiful display and the BC 40 wireless camera that pairs with it from my current truck, and likewise mount it to the front. That should be good enough. You have mirrors for the side, but having a camera up front gives you the same ease of inching up to something as reversing does, so is nice.

I have been looking into aftermarket kits to add the feature. Sounds like its doable and would only be a few hundred dollars and it bit of time to make it happen.

Any update on an aftermarket solution?

So far I have found one good option through AliExpress (Chinese Amazon) that I am considering that would connect to the SYNC 3 screen, and can use the touch interface, but I'm don't have the money right now to get.

As I understand it, one needs cams in the mirrors to achieve the bird's eye view. We have that feature in our Hyundai Palisade and I have to tell you, it is a great feature. Very helpful for backing up, parallel parking, and just navigating tight spaces.

Just got around to checking out your link. Wow! That's a really nice feature. Sure it's expensive, but much cheaper than running into another car or pole. I noticed these two wing looking pieces that apparently hold two of the cams. Doesn't say where they would go although they look like might fit in somehow with the side mirrors. That begs the question if this would fit a Maverick. Anyway, thanks for the post and the research. Keep us updated, if you please.

The wing pieces are just for a Ranger. You want to chose the one that does not have those pieces. And you would just have to find where on the bottom of the mirrors to drill the holes for the cameras.
I have not ordered it yet but think I will after I have paid off other accessories I bought for my Mav.

Thank you for the update. I would have never known NOT to get this particular model. I saw on the link other models offered. Are you getting any response from the vendor on which one would best fit the Maverick?

They are saying they are not able to confirm it would be compatible since they don't have the Maverick in their country.

As long as the electronics are similar, one could possibly hack the hardware install. Perhaps others will see this thread and give it a go.
