We drive from sw Virginia to Duke over pilot mountain a few days ago. It was a foggy morning with wind advisory. I can’t say you will have this experience but we found “MAV”, our XLT stock tremor, to be surprisingly stable. I like the higher up trucky view..not that anything helps really with fog but…

We are extremely happy with how MAV does with mountains, passing acceleration, highways etc

And he’s been great for hauling stuff (Some people call it “junkin”. I call it “treasure hunting”. Taking old furniture and repurposing it, “yard sailing” etc.). The bed tie downs are great!

We wish we had gotten the spray in bed liner but are looking at the Ford bed mat? Anyone have any experiences positive or negative with the mat?

We also wish we had ordered a bed cover. Anyone have any recommendations/experience

What about a back seat cover?

agree with your experiences.
I like the Ford mat, fits well and has the cut outs for the tie downs.
would a doggy seat cover work for your junkin?

Doggy seat cover is a great idea!
Thanks. Now to find one that fits well. We have the ford covers twill gray color for the front seat. Don’t love them but they are protective.

If your driving in fog - you need to get new fog lights.
They are very functional and look sporty too!

Very true observation! Where does one get these lights?

Assuming you took 52 into Winston Salem? It's a pretty drive, did you go into the state park and take the paved road up to the ridge?

We didn’t go into the park, but we should definitely do that soon. We were on 74.

We are looking at Winston Salem as a possible place to live so will have to check into the park. I have heard it’s pretty.

I have a knock off bed mat and it has worked well, i would guess the ford would be better.
I have a hard trifold bed cover and it is great. There are lots of options now. Someone should make a post listing all the bed cover options.
I recommend a bed cover.
