Fluid INSIDE speedometer plastic and rotary shifter

I am no auto valeting guy but does not look promising, if its on the inside when it dries it will show the spots, if its on the outside and will not wipe off then it may be etched in the clear plastic. Talk to the dealer and or get some professional advice plus your wipe down rag sure has a lot of lint or pet hair on it. It would drive me nuts if I couldn't fix it. Good luck and let us know what happens,

303 was cleaning the interior panels and some wind took a misguided spray

You would need to sand and polish it and perhaps final clear coat it, much like one does with a clouded headlight.

I would try on the shift knob first. I am not sure I would do it on the instrument cover. I don't think you will ever get it as clear you would like it to be by doing a polishing resto. If you did decide to do it, I would mask off the cover and only expose the damaged section to the repair procedure.

Googling fogging of cage clusters from cleaning returns many results. Looks like all auto makes use the most delicate plastic for the gauge cluster.
Now I'm going to be paranoid about cleaning my gauge cluster. Lol

Leave it alone, you may make it worse. Live with it, and in a few years, trade it in on something else. It only bothers you now because it's a new vehicle. Time heals all wounds.

I would avoid any product but water inside and if you want a shine on any surface, use the old school, tried and true armor-all sprayed onto a rag never directly sprayed onto a surface.

I only use a micro fiber duster on my interior plastic. Maybe a little water if needed but rarely.
