I just used the FordPass app and the service truck showed up and changed our tire out.
No sweat or fuss
Probably had the proper tools. If it happens again dare him to use the tools from the back seat.

I had a flat in the middle of winter due to an object on the interstate. Changed it in the side of the road with back seat tools and a 4 way with no issues

That’s exactly what he used as that is the only way to get the spare from the storage area. He put everything back in the storage area under the seat. He was done in 15 minutes. But he does this everyday

I Always carry 4 way lug wrench with metal pipe that fits over lug wrench arm for extra leverage in car and truck . For just in case situations .

The first week owned my XLT EB, I replaced all 20 lug nuts and put full steal nuts back on it. I did the same thing last year on my wife's 23 Edge. You just haven't lived until you spin one of those junk covers they put on lug nuts with the little junk OEM wrenches. I caught 24" HB breakovers on sale and bought one for each vehicle and a couple of my heavier trailers. I stopped by the pawn shop that has a box of deep sockets and got three 13/16 and one 7/8 for a dollar each. These are tucked away under the seat, behin the seat, in the tool box, where I can find them. I like that way better than a 4 way wrench. Hand tighten lugs and give them scootch more. After you drive 50 miles or so, re scootch them. Aluminum wheels need to go thru a heat cycle and may shrink or swell a bit. I keep a length of tubing in the wife's car in case she needs a cheater on the breakover. I thinkin the last 50 years she has changed 1 flat.
