Just returned from our first week-long trip. The Maverick (XLT, EB, Lux) was everything I hoped for and more.
We had the bed fully packed - suitcases, dog cage, beach chairs, beach awning, coolers, etc. Roll-up tonneau cover kept things dry despite some heavy rain.
Averaged 31.8 MPG for the 1,450 mile round trip, and that included idling in traffic for over an hour while an accident was cleared.
I donāt have a negative thing to say about the Maverickās performance. Apple Play was great, the air conditioning kept us cool, gas mileage was better than I expected and the truck handled mountains flawlessly.
Added bonus - spotted a first edition at the same complex and I was able to meet the owner and compare notes.
Looking forward to the next adventure.
