First tank thoughts.

Got Maverick Hybrid on May 15 and has a bit over 500 miles on it now. First tank got 498 miles at 43.6 MPG. I am thrilled! Part around town, and my town is very hilly. several interstate runs about 25 miles round trip at 70 MPH with cruise set. 1 long trip to lake for July 4 of 165 miles total. Ran speed limit at all times. 55-65 mph.

If I had used my 04 Silverado with the 5.3 V8 I would have used about 65-70 more gallons than the Maverick.

I'm on tank 3 now and seeing about the same as you. First tank was the best because I wasn't using AC as much. I'm expecting around 43-44 for a couple more months, then a few months of 46-47 before winter kicks in.

I drive my hybrid more aggressively and with the AC running. I’m getting 35 MPG and I’ve gone through two tanks of mid-grade gas.

Forgot to say, here in central Georgia. Ac has never been off in MAVERICK. It amazes me that AC runs on electricity as well as Petrol.

The A/C is electric and runs off the battery. The ICE runs to charge the battery.

Put around 450 on 1st tank full. I don't rely what the onboard computer tells, I fill the tank back up and do the math myself. Mav says 35mpg. Most of the tank was 75 to 80 mph and I know that kills milage. I calculated 32.5mpg.
