What cab configuration, engine, and driveline is your Colorado and what condition is it in? $6,000 sounds a bit cheap for a trade in price if it's a 4WD crew cab. You might look into getting a buy bid from Carmax, Carvana, Vroom, etc., rather than just taking whatever the dealer offers.
I checked a few of those. One of them, I think CarMax got up to $6,800. All the other were about $6,000. Interior is in very good condition. Body is in very good shape except one rock chip area. Not bad for ten years old. It has one and a half doors, sliding rear window, AM/FM/CD player, drop in bedliner, fog lights, it is not four wheel drive but has something called Trac Control.

$0.

Well, this is an assumption on my part. For my Bronco Sport, I put as much allowed as possible, $2500 on a credit card to get points, financed all the rest (including state sales tax and registration) @ 0% for 36 months. $1005/month payment.
Is this a dealer limit? If you have say $8000 credit limit, why couldn't you put that on it?
Was thinking about getting the Ford Credit card and putting $6k on it to max points, and the rest on 0% for 36 months.

Dealers are usually only willing to eat so much of that 2-3%+ card processing fee out of their profit.

I haven’t financed a new car in about 16 years and have never been much into financial things, so hopefully someone can help me out. The total price for my Maverick with all the fees is $21,865 plus about $1,600 for the thieves in Trenton. I think the Ford rate was .9 percent for 48 months when I ordered on October 30. How much down payment do I need to be around the $250 a month mark? I don’t expect my hybrid XL to come until May-August. Thank you ahead of time. I really appreciate any assistance.
I like to Google the "Navy Federal auto loan calculator" and it is very intuitive...

I took the 3 year 0%.
Withbthe insane number I got for my 5 year old Honda Fit from Carvana, I could have paid cash for my XL Hybrid, but at 0% I kept that money in my pocket and financed 100 percent.
