Unfortunately my previous car got totaled by a hail storm and I was forced to buy something right away (2022 Chevy Colorado). I do like the Colorado and I think the overall build quality is better than the Maverick, but it's more truck than I needed and more $$$ than I wanted to spend. I'll have a dilemma when this Maverick gets delivered to the dealership.

I am sure you will find a way to get the Maverick. My wife and I both have them and would not drive anything else. I sold my RAM Laramie fully loaded and bought my Maverick. I do not regret it at all and actually enjoy driving the Maverick more.

I appreciate the insight. I have only test driven the ecoboost, so when it's delivered I plan to test drive it to make sure I like the way the hybrid drives. Then I'll just have to make a decision. Also I'm not sure if I really trust the dealership to honor MSRP pricing and my private offer. I can sell my Colorado to Carvana for just slightly less than I paid, so that helps.

I am sure it will work out and whatever you decide will be what you want. I have had the Ecoboost and now the Lariats and I am happy with the Lariat power. Just takes a bit of getting used to, and figuring out how to get the best economy, but people on the forum have been great with tricks and tips. I know some people would give you a hard time if you ended up keeping the Colorado, but I always say that it is a person's money and their choice, and wishing you the best whichever way you choose to go. Have a great weekend sir.
