Hope so. I let Chapman know it’s here and the PDI is being done now. Just waiting on Chapman to get back with me to start the paperwork.

Let us know how that process goes. Mine from chapman (also a carb gray hybrid lariat lux) should be delivered to the courtesy delivery dealer any day now. I plan on doing Ford financing with them too to take advantage of the great rates from last year

This is GREAT news! Your Maverick is definitely off the train and awaiting a car hauler! It all depends on which car hauler has an opening going your way. But it's a matter of days now! HARD to wait, I know.

So does anyone have experience with tracking on United Road Car Hauling Service? I was able to put in my VIN to get a Delivery Receipt which shows Load Number and correct destination. Does this mean a) it's going to be picked up in Chicago Heights rail yard and this is the load number, b) it's been picked up and is being driven to the dealer in Barrington IL, or c) it's been delivered to the dealer?

I signed up for an account there and as far as I can tell, it should show a status of the shipment. For example, I’ve seen my dealer have units in “Pending Pickup” status. There are others that were marked “delivered” recently.

Once it’s picked up, you can also click Track and it should show you a rough location of the truck once it’s enroute to your dealer.

As for mine, the current status is Inactive since it hasn’t been picked up yet.

But generally speaking, it should show you some kind of status that indicates where or if they have it.

After spending a night near Harrisburg (Enola PA which is on the west side of the river), my Maverick has moved on. It has now arrived in Wilmington DE (NS Edgemore Yard) and the railcar is AVPL (Available for Placement). I think this means the Maverick is off the train and ready to be transported by truck?

Cool. I didn’t know they travel through Harrisburg. I work downtown in Harrisburg and live south of there.

What major stops did your railcar make when coming from Chicago? I am just curious what path mine will take. How long did the Chicago-Harrisburg portion take in your situation?

We just went through Flood Ford online and got 100,000 miles/6 years of Premium Extended Warranty coverage for 6 years with 13 trips of regular maintenance (about twice a year) for $2720! Our dealer wanted to charge us more than $6000 for 85,000/5 years of similar coverage. If you buy the maintenance package right after buying the ESP, they knock $100 off. Very cool.

Reminder!

Best not to use the Ford Pass to do a remote start…yet anyway. Some folks have seen their catalytic converter overheat and it's NOT good. Ford is, though, working on a software update that will fix it. We're going to wait for that to happen before ever trying it, just to be safe.

To learn more, use the SEARCH function (top/right) and search for Remote Start or Catalytic Converter Glowing.

On the latter thread, TimRom2003 (post#84) wrote: "I seen in the owners manual if you hold the start button too long on the remote start it can damage the catalytic converter."

I haven't looked it up yet, but GEESH! if that's in the MANUAL, that says a lot!! I mentioned the issue to my sales guy and he hadn't heard about it at all. (Ford communication, once again, disappoints.)

Thanks for that idea. It looks like yours also went to Gibson Indiana, but then went backwards to Illinois. That’s what mine is currently doing. I thought this was very odd, but seems like I have nothing to worry about.

Yes that’s the one I used. It took me a couple of tries thru my phone but i got it to work.

Mine finally moved today and was in Gibson Indiana! At least it’s not stuck in Illinois still. Did yours head back? If so it may actually have been unloaded like TooManyVehicles’ was if I remember correctly.

Quick update, it went from Gibson Indiana a few days ago back to Burnham Illinois, then after a day or so, it went to Hegewisch Illinois. Today it left there and it just arrived at Elkhart Indiana, which is basically the 1/2 way point through the state on its way to Ohio.
