Hello all,

Attached is a screenshot of the DORA of my 24 hybrid. Are the taxable and non taxable fees normal? I have X Plan so that should knock down the doc fees to $150 max.

The DORA is the official ordering document from the dealer. It's your and their proof of the vehicle that was ordered along with any and all factory install additions (ie Lux package, SIBL, upgraded wheels) - stands for Dealer Order Receipt Acknowledgment (or something close to that)

The fees usually depend on your state. Where I live the dealer doc fees are limited by law, so $599 seems excessive to me, but might be standard in your state.

Fees look excessive to me. X-plan should limit it to $150 based on the X-Plan December 2023 plan rules. But as others have stated there may be other fees involved due to the state in which you live. I would bring it up with them and ask them what these fees consist of. Also, remind them about x-plan and how it limits doc fee to $150. See what they say. But ultimately, x-plan is also voluntary.

For me doc fee is to much. It's a fee to handle paperwork like title with the state. Does not include plate fee, registration, temporary tag etc.. Also which concerns me is the additional non taxable fee. I don't understand that fee. In my state everything is taxed except labor or food, only thing other than that are certain vehicles exempt from tax, (Example farm use on tractors).

Those are two fees that should be discussed. Labor to remove and clean vehicle, or dealer trade should be the dealers cost of doing business and the customer shouldn't be charged. To check and see if it's correct I would contact your states attorney general if you don't get the correct answer. Or select a different dealer and see what difference the DORA shows.

Because you are most likely in a different state your going to get different answers to your post. I look at it as extra profit or price gouging. Then again each state is different with different laws.

Those fees are outrageous. The only fee I paid the dealer was a $129 doc fee. Including it, my OTD was $23,339.
There aren't enough add-ons to make this cheap $20k-something truck worth $40k.

That is from your dealer. It is NOT a DORA.
This is a real DORA from my 2023 (I bought with X-Plan):

Yes. My dealer did X-Plan in March 2023 on our 2023, and then again 10 days ago on our 2024. Each case, the DORA was correct and they added $100 for Doc fees each time. Nothing else, but I did get a $500 First Responder discount on the 2024. Such an easy way to buy!
