Evoc Duo 1/2 tailgate pad installed

I just got my Maverick XLT Hybrid on Sunday and loving it. I saw a few posts on the Raceface tailgate pad, but I decided to go with the Evoc Duo 1/2 pad. I usually only transport 1 bike at a time so it seems like a better option for me. I’ll eventually get a 1-up rack.

Nice! I'm looking at the evoc pad too. Do you really just need to secure the bike to the pad with one strap?

I’ve only taken it out once, and I did strap it. That being said it seemed very secure.

Nice pad, have you tried carrying 2 bikes? I really want to get this pad but looking at some pictures online, it looks to me like the tires might brush up against the tailgate paint. Just looks pretty tight with 2 bikes.

No I’ve only carried one bike. I watched some videos and it looks like if you carried 2 bikes one would touch the tailgate. Long term I’m going to get a hitch mounted bike rack so I only needed a pad to carry one bike.
