Engine vibration and shaking.

I have a 2022 Maverick XLT Hybrid With Lux Package. When trans is in park and the gas engine starts, the motor will shake, rattle and sound like a tractor. Putting it in gear will stop it. It does this intermittently.
The dealer has told me they need to replace the flex plate. I am concerned about having an extensive repair like this being done. The dealer does not know if they need to pull the engine also to replace it. There is no guarantee this is the problem.
Has anyone had this problem and did replacing the flex plate solve it?
I am considering trading this truck as may not be the same after this? Any thoughts or advice would be appreciated.

I am starting to believe that the powertrain control module in all hybrids is a ticking time bomb. That is the issue with mine and I’ve read that rough idle is a symptom.
