Long time listener, first time caller here. So I have a 2023 EB Mav FX4. Looking for as much of a plug and play solution as possible as far as wiring (like the stage series backup kit). What's the best way to get a wiring harness that will let me use the JJC fog light brackets (next to the tow hitch) with the SS3 light. Would love to have the fog lights come on with the main lights if that makes wiring easier.

You could use the same wiring harness included with our Elite Series Maverick Fog Light Kit.

However, as of 2/12 this wiring harness is out of stock and re-stocking in 6-8 weeks. In my experience, this will re-stock far sooner than the displayed ETA.

No need to be worried about the name, it's 100% usable for a fog light application.

The harness label F is your signal wires. The blue is the backlight signal and the yellow is the main beam signal.

General question. What is the primary reason for tapping on the wire from pin 3 of the headlight and pin 10 on the Molex? Is there an alternative connection point or not use it at all?

If I tap the blue backlight wire into parking lights, then are the backlights on when the parking lights are on, regardless of actual fog lamp status? Once the fog lamps are triggered to turn on, does the backlighting turn off?

See what I'm getting at? Trying to figure out if the backlighting is run through any relay logic or if they're kind of dumb.

The backlight will illuminate with the power source tapped.

Anytime the main beam of the fog lamp is turned on, the backlight will be overridden and the main beam will take over.

When the main beam is turned off, the backlight will resume illumination.

For an " Elite " product with all the time in to the housing why would you not uses a break out OEM Connector Tap wires are for hacks will cause problems later for owners. Never cut a wiring harness.

There are alternative options to t-taps that users are welcome to purchase separately.

We have not had any reported issues since utilizing t-taps for the last few years.

Just installed the fog light kit. I would recommend. Good quality. Easy install.
Upgrading to SS screws would probably be a good idea. A slightly longer cable on the switch ground would also be helpful.
