I might be the dumbest person on this website.

Thank you.

Also want to add. Since most of the orders are for the hybrid, your resale will probably be easier with a hybrid than the EB.

I’m new here so I apologize if something like this has already been created, but here I am.
I’ve been back and forth on choosing which engine to go with and want to hear some opinions and perspectives.
Me personally, I prefer hybrid due to the mileage which was my main concern when wanting to get a truck.
Right now, I drive a Kia Forte averaging 36 MPG. My dilemma is that my daily commute is about 80 miles with about 85% on highway going 70-80MPH. So would I be ok with sticking with EcoBoost should some come in by next week at a local dealership like I was told or should I go ahead and place an order and wait like everyone else for a hybrid?
I don’t have any need for towing or all wheel drive as I live in flat-Florida, but I wouldn’t be doing too much city driving. At the same time, if I plan on keeping this for 7+ years, will I look back and wish I’d opted for more mileage since it would be my everyday car?
Any input is appreciated!
HYBRID because (1) MPG and (2) Price of Gasoline

I haven't gotten to drive a Maverick of either type. I do have a 2020 Sonata Hybrid that has about the same HP and curb weight as the Mav, and a 6-speed tranny instead of the CVT. Great MPG, and it will get up and go when I need it to. For me, the Hybrid was the proverbial no-brainer up here in Maine. I'd suggest the Hybrid for your needs in FL.

If your driving is 80% highway you won’t get the 40mpg that hybrid advertises.. but you will get the 30mpg that the ecoboost is rated at.. Plus the extra power for highway driving.

It’s up to you though, I’m biased because I ordered an ecoboost and I’d assume the same bias applies for a lot of the hybrid votes.
Incorrect according to the reviews that I've watched and read. They get right at 40 mpg with mostly highway driving.
