Has any one ordered Ecoboost FWD. On paper it does not makes much sense..

looks like it is better to go hybrid if going for a FWD.
If going for Ecoboost, better addin AWD

How about real world

Why ? If you don't mind (It feels hybrid makes much more sense, if going for FWD)

Less cost
More mileage
Same towing
Same payload

In almost circumstances the FWD will have significantly better traction than a rear wheel drive pickup. And better fuel use too. Unless you need to tow more than 2,000 pounds or drive in soft, deep sand or steep poor traction pitches you are gold!

Except the Maverick is not a RWD pickup. It is AWD with FWD bias and an intelligent AWD system.

The only reason to not get AWD Eco is that it is a little costly, however I can't see any reason to get a FWD ecoboost outside of not being able to actually order a Hybrid at the moment for new prospective buyers that aren't willing to wait.

I got fwd ecoboost because thats what was available at the time and did not want to wait for a hybrid. Power is nice and still good mpg. As someone else said, tuneable for later on when i get bored. I live in Vegas and dont need awd so its still perfect for what it is
