Hello all, has anyone ran a full tank of E85 or is it even possible to run. I have a 2023 AWD 2.0 and I am running 93 octane fuel now and I feel a greater amount of power than with the 87 octane fuel the truck came with. Any info is much appreciated tks VP

If the vehicle doesn't have a Flex Fuel badge, don't use E85.

I tried something suggested on this site, for max performance I run 91 without ethanol, it's the highest octane available here. I filled up & when there was room I added 1-1/2 gallon of E85, I noticed it really perked up the Ecoboost. If the 93 you are using has no ethanol, then you could try this, if it's already E-10 then not so much.

Yep our 93 has 10% ethanol. We have a station that sells 100 octane racing fuel but at $10.00 a gal is crazy.looking for next best. Thanks 🙏

Found the owners manual and it stated no E85 at all but did say premium is good but keep ethanol at 10%

Yep just found my manual and that statement in there 😞 so premium it is 3.85 a gal not to bad. We have a local station that sells 100 octane but $10.00 a gal a bit to much

I don't know about Florida, but here in Kansas a few stations sell what they market as 93 Super Premium. (Our normal premium unleaded 10% ethanol is only 91 octane.)

It turns out that the '93 Super Premium' is actually E30 which is a 50/50 blend at the pump of E85 and E10 87 octane regular unleaded. E85 can vary from 85%-70% ethanol, so that's going to make the E30 '93 Super Premium' 40-48% ethanol. You can't run that without a tune.

Thats probably a bit much without a tune, my focus st was tuned for 93 & E30, but on the 93 tune if you got some crappy gas the tuner said to add a gallon of E85 to bring up the octane ratio, but bear in mind that was tuned, i would just get it tuned to be safe

It comes out to around 10% ethanol content which is what normal fuel is, some places selling 15% which will work in the EB, I don't know what the limits of the factory setup are, but I don't use more than 10% as mpgs suffer too much. I was curious if the small bump in octane would be noticeable, & it is. I also wonder how high of octane the factory computer would continue to adjust for.
