FWIW, I got a quote from Carmigo for my yet-to-be-delivered XLT/FX4-they said they expected almost 40k from auction. This probably explains those prices you saw-they still have to get their gouge off of what they paid...but 54K for a budget truck is a bit...I don't have a word for what kind of stupid that is.

yes, the FWD handles nicely in snow. Many SUVs on the road are FWD, as are many cars, and they drive good in the snow, so with the extra height of the maverick, it handles great in snow. Just my experiences. Sticking with the hybrid was the RIGHT choice, unless towing 4k regularly.
Glad to hear ... I really don't do any towing to speak of. I have a 4x6 utility trailer that I occasionally use for trips to the dump, or to take my mower in for service. Thanks again for the feedback ... keep enjoying that Maverick!

One great thing about the hybrid is that it's great to drive, regardless of the mode! :)
So, I've been experimenting with the Eco mode since your recommendation and find it to be not much different performance-wise than Normal mode. I've noticed the Mav tends to slow down more quickly . . . better regenerative coasting and braking? Only issue is having to toggle the mode selector 3 times every time I want to use it.
