Just filled hybrid for the first time. Does this look normal?

There was a rubber sleeve around the “neck” area of where the gas nozzle sticks out that had a slight impression on it. Is that rubber neck normal?

And does the cap look normal where you insert the gas? It looks dented inwards but I’m not sure if that’s by design or not

Looks just like mine. Eco boost. Dent is to add structural stiffness to the cover and somewhat help to center the fuel nozzle when you push it in for fueling.

Thanks for sharing. What do you mean the rubber part I different…it looks similar. It’s a somewhat soft rubber neck, right?

Yes but if they were bellybuttons mine is a innie and yours is an outie lol. Basically yours covers the fill tube all the way and I can see quite a bit of it on mine.

The real question is how far did you get on your first tank? Still working on mine.

On my 24 hybrid, combining the trip ODO miles and the DTE miles, my range was 632-ish. On the second tank, my mpg is higher at 45-46mpg so I expect a slightly greater range. The first tank included 15 dealer prep miles and jockying around the lot etc. All the above are horseback estimaes but I am pretty impressed so far. But my truck only has 850+ total miles on it
