Drop lariat luxury pkg and tonneau cover or wait for 2023 models.

I received a call today from my Ford dealer who said if I wanted the Maverick sooner, I'd have to drop these items out wait for 2023 model builds.
I can honestly understand all the delays, but this is frustration at it's max. Can't help but believe this whole order online experiment could have been handled better than it has been.
The dealer said many people are dropping the options to get it sooner and selling the truck for a big profit, then ordering another.

Keep your order how it is and wait. No downside. You would have to wait for a 23 anyway. Sit and see what happens

Yeah - if you're even considering waiting for a '23, you may as well leave your order as is and see if you get lucky. Drop the tonneau though -- you can get the exact same one after your truck is delivered, and that might increase your chances without sacrificing anything.

Like I could drop things from my order... but I want that stuff.

I would drop the tonneau cover and keep the Lux Pkg. That’s all I did. If I get it great, if not I will make that decision in August.

Drop the tonneau 100 percent. You can get that anytime. Keep the factory options if you'd regret not having them, can't add those after the fact.
