Thunderstorm and some heavy rain while shopping, came back to truck and started it up and a bunch of sensors fail came up with no assistance steering. Drove for a bit and still acting up. Turned it off and restarted the failure corrected themselves and steering assist came back. Anyone else experience this. I've had the truck for 10 days. 1st post.

Never had that. personally, I can't think of anything off hand as to why that would happen. I'm sure someone else will say it that would be a good idea since the trucks only 10 days old to make an appointment and see if they can read the codes to find out what the hell happened.

I would set an appointment to get it looked at. Could be water intrusion due to a manufacture defect…had a 2014 Chevy truck that would lose electronic power steering in the rain. Slim possibility it got struck by lightning…place I used to work had a Freightliner dump truck get struck in a storm overnight when it was only a couple weeks old and it had a mind of its own when everyone came into work the next day.

I work on developing steering systems. If you have lost power steering and are having issues like described and the vehicles accessory systems are staying on, it sounds like an issue with your high voltage system (rare from water damage, but murphys law must be observed) . The low voltage systems are the cluster and stereo, so if this weren't strange, I would have them only look at your High Voltage system.

Pray it isn't from lightning.
