I have a 2024 lariat and would like to get the door key pad.
is this something I can program myself? If not anyone had Ford do it and how long did it take.

thanks in advance and have a great day!

You can buy the keypad from the Ford Accessories web site for $120.00. When you order it you will be asked what dealership you want it shipped to. Look through the drop down list to see if there is a dealer near you. The dealers in the drop down participate in a $24 install fee. I contacted a dealer 40 miles from me to confirm the install price before ordering and
they had a tech come to my house for the install. Took about 10 minutes to program and he was done.

If a dealer isn’t listed in the drop down list they can charge whatever they want. Good luck.

Of course, my local dealer doesn't participate in this program. I should have ordered it with the truck.

Yeah, once they went to IDS with the new style keypads, it's labor intensive. Gone are the old days of the original accessory keypad that was programmed exactly like a remote. Key in ignition, turn to on 8 times fast within 10 seconds, ending the 8th key turn to the "on" position. Press all remotes present, then enter the code to the keypad and voila! Keypad programmed. I miss those. Had one stored on the inside of the gas door to my Mustang. Very handy.

I bought one through Ford with the install for $24. First dealership couldn’t program. Said they had a lot of trouble with them. Said to return to get another. Went to another dealership. Took two trips to program. Come to find out, you need both remotes present. They wiped out all programmed devices then reprogrammed fobs with keypad. I installed it in my fuel door. Probably could trim the keypad case or remove it. But it works great

Ford is making a big mistake getting rid of keypads, it was the main reason I own 11 Fords. Without the keypad I will be looking at other brands.

Glad I have hardwired factory keypad . another reason not to order 25 Mav . Also don't like lack of AC control knobs.

I have owned 3 Ford's, all had they Keypad. Really only started using it on the Mav. Probably because the other 2 were not my daily driver. I love it. Still can't believe they removed it.
