Just curious if they are trying to build all these trucks and leave them in Mexico awaiting chips .....if so a MY22 could be delivered in 23......any thoughts

Might, since they're still making MY22 until November.
sidenote VIN has the model year in it. They put the VIN in a lot of places (engine, hidden in the body a place or two) plus the dashboard. I don't think they'll try anything funny with those.

I think it is possible. I'm sure the VIN year must be correlated to the major assembly. If they have to install a module later they do not change the VIN.
Also remember there are parking lots full of F-150s that are missing modules.

Some have had vins since April and still do not show truck as being shipped ....
