In the 80s (and into the 90s?) Ford had a bubble gum pink, and a similarly horrid lavender, paint to put on a handful of escorts and rangers.

The apparent purpose was to be able to advertise a lowish price, specifying vin in the ad, to get people on to the lot.

Whereas the ugly ranger might have been advertised for $8k, a non-horrid color would be at least $2k more!

I get compliments on my Cyber Orange Maverick still to this day. Just last week, Tesla Model 3 driver came up to me and was surprised to hear my truck only cost about 40k all in. Just get black tailgate letterings and cab spoiler. It really compliments the CO Mav.

Just keep your truck neat and tidy. Well kept CO Mav will scream for high re-sale value compared to rest.

Since I had to pay extra for the HPR paint, I sure hope it adds value should I decide to sell it. All those bland, washed-out, colors have no extra value to me.
