DIBL Cut Tips?

Picking up the Ford DIBL this week to install at home. I have a Tremor Lariat, so will need to cut out both the passenger storage cubby, as well as the driver's side light/outlet. Would others who have done the install and cuts themselves be willing to share what you found to be the most effective way to make these cuts to provide a smooth finish? Any tips or pitfalls to avoid would be much appreciated.
