The other day I put my key in and turned it to the on position and for a real quick second an orange error screen popped up that stated "Depress Clutch to Start" then flashed away as I started the engine and the screen with "who was seat belted in" popped up. It was quick and for the last several days, I have been trying to reenact the scenario that cause this but have been unable. I will keep vigilant and recording every start to see if it happens again and will post a photo if I see it again.

Just wondering if anyone else has seen this error or any thoughts on why such an error would come up in a truck that doesn't offer a manual transmission?

Software probably shares code with other vehicles. The parameters to meet the condition to trigger the warning were met momentarily then overridden by other parameters as the rest of the systems came online. At least that's my semi-educated guess.

I once had a pickup that illuminated the "SERVICE 4WD" idiot light while I was driving. It was a factory 2WD truck.

Yeah, some legacy code or shared across platforms or internationally. Sad to say, but I guess the Mustang is it for domestic Ford manuals.
