Until I saw your post I was pretty sure that all Mavericks from Hermosillo were shipped into the USA on trains. I've never heard anything different.

Have you seen something that indicates they cross the border on transport trucks? Or are you talking about how they usually get shipped from the railhead (in the USA) to the dealer by truck transport?
Jsut form others. Don’t know for sure, but on the guide of how it all works it gives instructions on what to do if it goes by rail or convoy.

My EB XLT Lux took 4 weeks on rail went all over Midwest, OK, Kansas, MO, IL, OH down to Atlanta, 2 stops in FL. Then sat 5 days in south Orlando waiting on convoy. Dealer had 10 Mavericks plus 20 other vehicles come in Mon/Tue.

I believe what we're seeing is a delay on the convoy side of things. Probably a labor shortage like everywhere else, just lack of drivers.

My Mav has been sitting in KC (4 hours away) since 04/06 just waiting on a carrier to move it.
@fordvideoguy would like to pick up his orders from the KC rail yard, but Ford has a car carrier contract in place. The "last mile" situation is a puzzling one. Mavericks sit in KC for days and arrive in Salina in bunches.

Heck, I contacted a dealer about ten miles from my house about a car carrier sitting on a side road near a highway interchange for five days. The window stickers I cold read were retail orders and I wonder how long customers were waiting on the five Broncos and four Mavericks aboard.

Yes, how do you get that info. My dealer claims they don't have it. (or they are just too lazy!
I’d love to understand this too. Dealer doesn’t know where my truck is. Thinks it’s still on a railway car left on March 18. I have a bet with them on delivery date. So far I think I’m winning. Who gets the trucks up to New York. And also now Mavericks are showing up for sale in some dealers lots By me. I’m puzzled

Lemme get this straight. You post a provocative thread about crossing the border, then say no politics? That's like putting a slice of chocolate cake in front of a child and saying "you can't eat it".

One thing I haven't seen mentioned is Mexican gangs robbing the trains. They may have solved this by now. A few years back the gangs were swarming the slow moving trains in Mexico and literally cutting off pieces like the catalytic converters. Cars were arriving at dealers missing things, and it took them some time to figure out what was happening. Here's one of many articles...
