I ordered my Maverick XLT almost two years ago and while the wait was agonizing it was a bright spot as my marriage was on the rocks. About six months ago I changed my mind and tried to up my XLT to a Lariat with some more options as I will hang onto it for a while and It's a bargain. Dealer wouldn't let me change my order back then so I ordered the additional Lariat. After waiting a year and a half for the other one I didn't think it would get here till summer and I'd see how thing's would go (in the middle of the divorce now) and I'd chew on it for the time being as I'm really liking the XLT. The Lariat showed up last week and the dealer offered to take it back for a $4K loss which kind settled it. Just for grins I got an offer from Carmax for $1k more so I went back to the dealer and he matched it (with a tax incentive). Now I'm leaning towards a nice clean swap with the dealer. I wonder what he's going to list it for? We live in some weird times and I wonder what it's going to be like a year from now? I would have sold it to anybody off the street for what I paid for it.

I am sorry to hear about the divorce you are going through. I have been through it myself. I am glad that this ordering decision has paid off for you. Our Mavericks have such a great resale value that makes moments like this very profitable. You are correct though when you say that we live in some weird times.
