Dealer refunded my deposit after almost a year?

I'm waiting to hear back from my dealer, but just received notification on my credit card that they refunded my $500 deposit from my order, October 23rd, 2021 ?
My truck has been showing "built" but not shipped since 8/31. I have some scary scenarios running through my mind such as the dealer got my truck in without me getting a "shipped" notification and sold it to someone else. Sales rep said to not worry, but how can I not? Anybody else have this happen?

Or maybe they auto refund credit card deposits coming up on a year? Maybe it is a merchant credit card thing?

Maybe they don't notice the deposit refund and the credit is still going to be applied to the final purchase price of your vehicle when you go pick it up?

That happened to me but I had to go get my deposit back. I ordered a MY23 Eco from another dealer.

Dealer finally got back to me and said they can only keep deposits up to a year. My order is still safe.
