So this is the first time I've ordered a vehicle to spec, so maybe this is how it works, but my truck (same VIN, description) is currently listed on my dealer's website as In Stock. This seems highly unlikely as I'm seeing the truck as In Production since 11/17, I live in Hawaii and the dealer is here, and the truck is a hybrid. Previously I've seen vehicles listed on the site as "in transit" but that's not the case here. Is listing an unavailable to real vehicle a common bait and switch to get people into the dealership? I've got a message into the dealer because no way that truck is there, but if it is, it's mine.

It's very common. There was a similar post just last week. Dealers don't necessarily directly maintain their website's inventory and vehicles may automatically get listed as soon as the dealer is assigned the invoice.

Cool, thanks for that. Didn't see last week's post.
