The $80 price increase was price protected. The dealer will get a check from Ford and they are supposed to cut a check to you. Also I'd contact the Florida attorney general and file a complaint about the other shenanigans. This probably falls under the consumer fraud statutes. AZ AG went after some dealers recently.

That stinks, not as much money as others, but glad you like the truck.
I had to purchase out of state, due to availability and got a 3k adm tacked on. Which sucks, but my truck msrp was $31ish before adm.

Why can’t carvana buy in bulk from selected dealers and set the price without all this drama.

Ordered my Alto Blue XLT on 8/4/2021, the build date was delayed three times but finally built on 3/8/2022. Shipped on 3/12 and arrived at the dealer in FL as forecasted on 4/5/2022.

I was really excited to get my truck until I was informed that the dealership would not honor the original all-in/out-the-door quote. Including state taxes, DMV stuff, etc I was originally at $26,568. At the dealer to get the truck the price went up to $28,972. I was told that the dealership changed hands after my original quote. Ford added $80 to MSRP of the Maverick, the dealer doubled one of their local fees, and the dealer added etch protection, Lojack and appearance protection. When I stated that I did not ask for or want this stuff the answer was sorry, it has already been done. I was told since FL has a high rate of vehicle theft that the dealer is adding the first two items on all new vehicles. I was offered a 3-year maintenance free package, and additional warranty if I need things such as new brakes in the first 3 years/36,000 miles. I took this offer but was told they would turn off Lojack as a consequence. Was told I can track the truck on the Ford app if need be. OKAY.......so why do I need Lojack?

The good news is I love the Maverick, although the Alto Blue looks black in the shade and dark navy most of the rest of the time. Not sure if the appearance protection has anything to do with it but the color blue is not what I see in pics that Ford advertises.

I started getting emails from the Ford dealership asking for feedback on my experience. I said I loved the truck and the people I dealt with were fine but the price increase and all that surrounded it was not good. They kept asking what it would take for me to give them a 5 out of 5 and I kept telling them they could reimburse me the extra $2,404 they took from me. I finally got a call from the Sales Manager telling me if I was really unhappy that I could bring the truck back and get a full refund. I told him I appreciated the offered but I had waited 8 months for the truck and I liked it so I was going to keep it. I never did get an official survey request. Gotta move on from the bad taste over the price and just enjoy the truck!
You should name the dealer, other Mav buyers that might have the same dealer can call and stop this from happening to themselves! If you had known they were going to tack on all the BS charges ahead of time you could of stopped it. So help out your fellow Mav owners!

I'd go back and make them physically show you the device, bet they won't find it 🤣

I love the dealers who add this theft protection junk. Why the hell do they care if someone steals the truck after you buy it from them?
They 100% don't. Just an excuse to force people into paying extra

Carvana is worse than the dealers. They are selling used Maverii for over MSRP.

Consumers will absolutely 100% forget. In a couple of years when inventory levels settle and prices come down, most people won't care about whether or not a dealer used to charge adm.

I haven't been following these threads about dealer markups very much. I have a signed buyer's order for my truck ordered back in July. Dealership seems fairly reputable but I don't have a ton of experience with them. Does/should the B/O lock me into the agreed upon price? My salesperson hasn't been amazing as far as communication. I had to hound him in January just for an update and haven't heard a peep since then. In the interim my Mav was scheduled, entered production and today received word it's built and awaiting shipping. Wondering if he'll call today....?

Why gripe about it, if you’re not willing to name the dealership, so that others have awareness and can be prepared?
