Howdy y'all, been a minute since I've posted. For reference. I have a 2022 ford maverick and I am at just over 29k miles on it. I have had it for over a year now and I have had a rough country 2 inch Strut Lift Front and Back for almost the same amount of time on the truck. I put the Lift on about a month after I got the truck with Chase Gentry.
Now for the main portion recently when me and Chase were putting a thermal r&d cat back exhaust on my truck (video will be coming soon on his channel and a post on here from me.) After putting on the exhaust we were inspecting the Lift kit to make sure everything was holding up since it's been over a year of having it on. Chase notice I had a CV leak on the front passenger side. I took the truck to the dealership next day and got an oil change. They also told me about the cv issue on my truck. I drove it over to the service department and they said they'll take care of it. They were fast 2 days was all it took for them to get it fixed and back to me. Thankfully they covered it under warranty but said itd be just this one time due to me having a lift kit.But after being told about the cv issue I had looked it up and seen many others on the forum had experienced the same issue on mavericks both lifted and not lifted. Just sharing my experience with it and how long my truck lasted before it got an issue with one of the cv's
I would like to ask, do yall think this would end up as a recall if it persist on other mavericks?

Another question, how would I prevent this from happening again besides reverting the truck back to its stock suspension? I have seen sub fram spacers and what not but like I've said before im not well versed when it comes to vehicles and working on them. Thanks y'all

They would not cover mine under warranty because I am lowered.

Reverting back would not be a guarantee of it not happening it again (due to many without lifts/drops having issue) - but it does allow you keep replacing within warranty.
Maybe beyond if they have TSB on it by then.
Maybe eventually a newer version that fixes the issue of premature failure.

I have a 23 Tremor and I put a levelling kit on it, 1600 miles later my front left CV grenaded itself. Took 3 months for them to figure out what actually happened since the bad CV threw off speed sensors, AWD control module, etc

They covered it "under warranty" but essentially told me the same, we won't cover it again as long as you have the levelling kit on it. I think they did this in part bc there have been significant CV issues even with non-modded trucks. And they told me it was only the front left at risk bc it's a 1 piece where the front right is 2 piece.

I figure at some point there will be aftermarket, longer travel CVs will be available for the maverick, like there are for the Ridgeline, but until that point I'll leave the levelling kit off and keep it under warranty. Still looks pretty good how it is, so I'm not worried.
