Customer Slide In Camper for Maverick

This is my first post- I just joined the group! Please redirect me if I have posted in the wrong section! Advice and suggestions are welcome! I have a custom built slide in camper that fits the Maverick. Dry weight is just under 900 pounds. It features an overhead queen mattress, multiple position lock open windows with privacy up and screen down sliders (one in overhead and one each on driver and passenger side). Has full size walk in door with separate screen and dead bolt lock. Unit includes 400 watt roof mount solar with inverter and 1000 watt battery with battery management system - complete with app showing use/charge and remaining power.. Has AC and heat, LED lighting system (indoor and out), fold up dinette, vinyl flooring, interior storage areas, and portable toilet, sink, and 12 volt/110 portable fridge. Like brand new. Used once for a camping weekend. This was designed and built by a local trim carpenter who has made 4 of these units. I have the build specs available. It gets a LOT of attention and it's REALLY cool! I just don't use it like I thought I would and the wife isn't all that keen on truck camping! It loads pretty easy and handles well on the Maverick. My truck is the 2022 Maverick XLT Hybrid and I drive in TOW mode. Drove about 400 miles with the camper and got around 24 MPG with it on.

I thought I listed the weight in the post...
It's 899 pounds dry weight empty.
With portable toilet, sink, fridge and extra water It's right around 1000 pounds

Plus the maximum payload for the Mav is 1,200 - 1,500 lbs, depending on Model. Payload includes anything in the Bed + Passengers + Gear. So you can only add 600 lbs including Passengers.

$12k IS asking a lot, I agree! This is a professional class product, and one of EXCEEDINGLY few such options available. There are a few camper specialty companies that make a Maverick compatible unit... some of those are $40,000. I know of ZERO compatible options anywhere NEAR the price point I am asking. Solid frame, queen bed, solar with battery and management system, heat and AC, running water with toilet and 12/110 volt fridge (those last three being modular and usable elsewhere as well). If someone, ANYONE can point out a compatible, comparible product selling for less then I would GLADLY reduce my asking price. I don't think I'll see many takers, however. I have studied the issue quite extensively. As to the weight threshold, two things; firstly, the Maverick isn't engineered to fold in half at 1501 pounds ! There is ALWAYS overload capacity built in. If you are 100, 200 pounds over the weight limit (not that I am arguing for nor endorsing such a decision, mind you), you are not likely to encounter catastrophic failure or plummet to your death as a consequence. Might you produce excess wear on suspension and other systems? Yes, that's a possibility. May you negatively impact breaking distance and steering response and need to plan accordingly? Also, possibly yes. Moreover, the rig in question is WELL WITHIN the weight capacity parameters! You can absolutely plan accordingly to stay within those when hauling this camper, if you so choose. If you so happen to edge over the stated limit for a weekend, Armageddon is pretty unlikely to ensue...
And, not to overtalk this point to death here... and maybe I'm the outlier... but with MILLIONS miles of driving experience- with everything from a motorized bicycle through a limousine, school bus, and heavy equipment hauling, I have NEVER, personally witnessed a long line of individuals at the scales weighing their personal vehicles to check that they are within manufacturer recommendation for load. End of rant! Your mileage may vary! God bless us every one!
