Corner dash removal question

Does anyone know if the bolt in the picture removes the entire part where the tweeter is? I want to install 3.5” mids in the corner dash. Has anyone done this on a maverick yet?

No clue I doubt that removes the opening that holds the stock 1-in tweeter. I replaced the OEM tweeters with Hertz tweeters I've not seen a single person and a larger speaker to that opening. You're not going to gain much by adding the three and a half inch speaker unless you do a focal Utopia mid-range.

I'm actually going to be using the utopia mid range and was told the corner dash would be the best place for it in a maverick which is why I like it put it there if possible

It would be awesome if you were able to, I have no clue what kind of rooms inside the dash corner there but keep us all posted on your progress.

You'll definitely have to print your own adapter and mounting plate whether or not it's possible again will be interesting to see.

yeah from what I've seen in other vehicles most are higher with a spacer which I don't mind. The utopia's are only 2 inches so with a spacer there should be enough room even if the piece under doesn't come out.. I guess I'll find out soon when I get some time next week.

I believe Focal also offer the mid-range in their performance component set.
