Since most of us have been driving for decades we've all owned or rented our fair share of different vehicles. I was just wondering what features your older cars had that never became common place but wish you had on your Mav. My 2 examples are from the 90s. My Passat had a lock button on the key fob that would, if you held it down, roll up the windows and close the sunroof. Second is from a Mazda 626 that had a "sweep" button on the hvac controls. It would move all the vents side to side like floor fan. Just curious what you all remember.
I had NO features in my other cars and is why I LOVE my Maverick so much!!!!!!!

I would be happy with Sirius/XM on the radio Since I have an account with them. I’m tired of driving through the mountains and get it through my phone since there isn’t any cellular signal.

Not "difficult" but the old floor buttons let you keep both hands on the wheel.
I think you might be using the stalk incorrectly.

How do you use your wipers?

I remember when the column directionals became the norm. Every car I drove until 2008 was a manual… so right hand on shifter and left thumb wrapped around steering wheel while pulling the stock with rest of hand.

OK, so maybe driving a bit with my knees while trying to finish a Wendy’s Double, and changing the cassette tape, then cleaning the ketchup off the cassette and trying again. Never had an accident because driving at any decent speed back then would most likely kill you. Car safety equipment will take care of you most of the time in a modern vehicle, so why master the skill? :teehee:

Do not underestimate the value of a decent crumple zone.
A six speed manual transmission with close ratio through forth and an overdrive fifth and sixth gear.
so the old timers could make em detonate,I have less then fond memories of of elderly drivers lugging the engine( a Ford "FE" engine seemed to have a good tolerance of that)

That is a really cool aftermarket idea. You should get a prototype going and pitch the idea.
all I can say is,pray for the "Telo"! it checks a lot of your boxes, unlike the "Elio" which was scam from inception,I believe the "Telo" has a better chance then the "Slate".

A lot of these were on my Avalanche! Seat memory, power passenger seat, fold flat rear seat, mid gate for bed pass through, auto tinting rear view and side mirrors, and outside mirrors that tilt down when you shift into reverse.
How much did an Avalanche cost? I'm sure if you bought a fully loaded F-150, you would get those features.
