Not sure where to post this but I noticed something today. The auto start/stop seems to be brake pedal sensitive. I was at a red light and I lessened my brake pedal pressure (about half as hard) and the engine turned on. The next stop I came to I stopped as slowly as I could and just held enough brake to keep me from moving. The truck stayed on. After about 15 seconds I pressed the pedal hard and the truck shut off. Eased off and the truck started. Also if the truck shuts off and you get it going it will not shut off until your next stop. You will have to play with it to see how much pressure it takes to make this work.
This is helpful if you don't want the truck to shut off just keep light pressure (seemed harder to do)
At red lights I just paid attention and when my light was close to Turning green I let off a bit and had the engine running so I didn't have the lag when I wanted to go (very easy to do)
You could also just let off the brake, get the engine running then press the brake again to keep the truck running.
This of course is for people who use/like the auto start/stop. If you hate it to the point that you turn it off every time you get in then this will do nothing for you. I don't mind it besides the lag when it is time to go. But easing pressure before it is time to go really helps.
