Hi there. I'm considering putting in an order for a 2025 Lariat but was shocked to find no FX4 option.

While I believe the drive modes don't really matter (and can be enable on all Mavericks via Forscan) I did appreciate that it came with skid plates, tow hooks, and upgraded cooling/suspension etc.

Is this a bad trade off? 50 weeks out of the year this is a passenger car that I use to commute to work, help friends move furniture, etc.

I'd go for the Tremor (not for badging or true 4wd) but I appreciate the better angles both in front and back, but that means sacrificing 4k tow. Being that any trim of Maverick will never be a true "off-road vehicle" I don't think it's worth sacrificing the ability to tow more when any AWD equipped maverick with solid tires should be able to handle most all Michigan weather and all but the worst trails when I'm hiking, camping, etc.

I'm interested to hear the thoughts of others.

BTW I'm z plan eligible. On my 2023 it knocked a couple grand off. Anyone have any actual figures on pricing for A/Z, D, and X plans?

My current vehicle is (assuming I can remember everything I opted for):
  • 2023 XLT
  • FX4
  • 4K Tow
  • Luxury Package
  • Copilot 360
  • Sunroof
  • Remote Start
  • Manual Rear Slider
  • $33,530 MSRP ($31,513.92 with Z plan)
  • Currently sitting at 20k miles in great condition
This is Lariat I've built. I much prefer the rims, the push button start, power rear window, upgraded head unit, and the better speakers. I can always upgrade my tires again. However, I'm apprehensive about losing tow hooks and skid plates.

Am I overthinking this? Is it worth the increase in price?

Anyone else disappointed in color options? Love the option for green but it's a bit too green. Hate that there's no longer a true red. Cactus grey is gone. Guess I'm sticking with black regardless of my decision.

I just realized there's no option for a manual slider... that might be a deal breaker.
