Hi everyone,

I’m new here and this is my first post. Looking to order a 2023 XLT once order banks reopen in August, but I don’t want to pay any markup. Can anyone recommend a CT dealer that doesn’t do ADM on orders? I have spoken to a few in my area but there all either won’t answer the question or seem totally clueless about the upcoming order dates. I’m in the New Haven/Shoreline area. Thanks!

Welcome, I ordered from Valenti Ford in Mystic Nov. 5 2021. I received my truck the 11th of July, XLT. I did have the luxury package included but canceled after an email from my salesgal saying it was a constraint item and canceling would get the build quicker. I did cancel and don't really miss any of the items on it. With that being said I don't know of any dealer at least in CT that won't charge administrative fees. Their fee was $599. No other mark ups and sold at MSRP. I didn't receive a lot of communication but then again I wasn't one of those to bother them 3 times a week. When I needed to find something out I emailed her and she promptly replied. A very pleasant around experience. They even delivered the truck to my home along with the paperwork to sign due to a recent surgery and I couldn't get down there. If you'd like send me a PM and I'll give you her name.

Thanks. Reasonable standard administrative fees are fine but I specifically don’t want to pay “market adjustment” or whatever other label dealers are applying to the practice of literal price gouging that seems endemic across the industry these days. Hammonasset Ford in Madison has a Lariat listed on their website for $15,000 over sticker. I don’t know whether they apply markups to direct orders (because they haven’t answered my question about that) but not feeling super confident about using them! I’d be happy to take your sales rep’s name if you want to DM it! Thanks again.

Yeah, stay away from Hammonasset Ford. In addition to ADM they will jam you with a super expensive security package that includes an extended warranty, wheel locks, paint protection, window etchings. It is ridiculous. Check out Ford of Branford. They initially try a few add on fees but will delete them if you give a little push back. Overall I have found them to be reasonable. Ask for Dominick.

Thanks. I had some brief communication with them about ordering a Lightning a few months back, and based on those conversations I actually moved that reservation to a different dealer… but anyway, good to know that I haven’t gotten the wrong impression of them!

UPDATE: I just reached out to Valenti Ford in Stonigton, thanks to @Porvette ‘s recommendation, and they confirmed that they will honor MSRP for direct orders on 2023 Mavs. They were also the first dealer I’ve contacted who seem to be aware of reopening order banks. So I’m going with them for sure!
